Petersons reflect on 13 years at the helm

Senior Associate Director of Admission Krista Peterson shared 13 lessons, one for each year of the Petersons' service to the school, in the final chapel talk of the school year on Tuesday. "From the day we arrived here in 2004, I have been grateful to be part of this school," she noted after Tip No. 1: "Practice Gratitude." View the video of Krista's talk on our website. The talk came just four days after Head of School Eric Peterson's farewell address Friday night.

Tee it up, Dragons!

When it comes to golf, Dragons are on an upswing. Coach Jeff Dwyer's 2017 team had its best finish in recent years behind young stars such as AJ Chicharro '19 of Fall River, Massachusetts, (above) and John Baldwin '20 of Little Compton, Rhode Island. If you would like to share your school spirit on the links at Newport National, please consider joining us for the annual St. George's Dragon Cup on Friday, June 16. The event is open to all alumni, family and friends of the school. Register here.

Dr. BJ Miller '89, now a hospice and palliative care specialist at the University of California in San Francisco, was a recent guest on Oprah Winfrey's "Super Soul Sunday" program. View the conversation, about end-of-life care, here

Good tunes, great weather at Spring Dance Weekend

Did you know that St. George's is home to a number of top-notch singer-songwriters? Check out our YouTube playlist of songs, several of them originals written by students, from the Spring Dance Weekend concert on the quad Sunday. (Jay Sweet '88, take note!)

Classmates reunite at Alumni Weekend 2017

Hundreds of alumni flocked back to the Hilltop as we honored the Petersons, celebrated our John B. Diman Award winner Dr. Gita Reese Sukthankar '87, and bade farewell to departing veteran faculty members Dr. Patricia Moss and Dr. Robin Wallace during Alumni Weekend May 19-21. We missed you if you didn't come! If you did come, like the Class of 1977 (above), you probably got your picture taken in the photo booth Saturday night. Links to those photos will be available for viewing and download next week. Mark your calendars for Alumni Weekend 2018: May 4-6.

SG Trivia Contest

Congratulations to Charles Pinning '70, the winner of last week's SG Trivia Contest. Charles knew that Tim Gallwey '56 is the author of the bestselling book, "The Inner Game of Tennis," (along with several other popular titles, we might add.)

This week's trivia question: Prize Day is Monday and our chapel speaker will be Global Client Managing Director at Xerox Corp. Marjorie Burdick P'11, '13, '17, '17, '19. Who was the comedic actor, producer and screenwriter who delivered the Prize Day chapel address in 2009?

The first person to respond with the correct answer wins a coupon for $10 off a purchase from the SG Bookstore. Good luck!
