Kelly Richards has been at St. George’s since 1997. She is currently the director of college counseling, and has held several positions during her time at St. George’s, including assistant dean of students, head varsity field hockey coach and head varsity lacrosse coach. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in English and in government from the College of William and Mary, and a master’s degree from Harvard University. Richards has chaired the Advanced Secondary School College Counseling Summer Institute for two years at Wheaton College and at Yale University, has served as the chairperson for the Rising Leaders Colloquium at UMaine Farmington and has served as an assembly delegate to the National Association for College Admission Counseling. In 2011, Richards earned Professional of the Year from the New England Association for College Admission Counseling. She teaches in the English department and has dorm duty in Buell, the freshman girls’ dormitory.
