SG welcomes new Director of Athletics

We are very pleased today to announce the appointment of St. George's next Director of Athletics, Robert Pipe, effective July 1, 2020.

Mr. Pipe has more than 20 years of experience in high school athletics management and coaching. He is currently the Director of Athletics at the Rivers School in Weston, Massachusetts. Prior to his appointment to that position, Mr. Pipe served as Associate Director of Athletics at Rivers for 13 years, as well as head coach of the girls' varsity basketball team and the boys' varsity soccer team. He is highly experienced in the recruitment, skill development, and training of high school athletes, as well as in mentoring assistant coaches, organizing camps and clinics, and maintaining key relationships with college coaches to support student-athletes navigating the college-recruiting process.

In addition to his experience at Rivers, Mr. Pipe is the founder of the Mass Mavericks AAU Girls Basketball Club in Franklin, Massachusetts, which began with one team in 2013 and under Mr. Pipe's leadership, evolved into 11 teams with more than 100 players in grades 5-11.

An accomplished athlete himself, Mr. Pipe was inducted into the Natick High School Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018 for his exceptional contributions to the school's basketball and soccer teams.

We are also pleased that St. George's current Director of Athletics, Rachel Horn, will join our Student Life team this summer. Ms. Horn has capably and skillfully managed the Athletics Department for the past three and a half years, and she has agreed to lead our co-curricular programming, management, and development.
