Making waves at FNL The boys' and girls' swim teams faced off against Thayer at their Friday Night Lights meet, with both teams' coming out of the water victorious. This hype video produced by Brandon Williams '21 and Aristo Wang '20 got the entire school amped up for the event, where our Dragon swimmers posted 30 personal best times, including Kaleb Walton '20, who tied the pool record in the 50-meter freestyle race. Geronimo update The Winter Geronimo crew is tagging sea turtles in the Bahamas and will return to the Hilltop on Jan. 23. Yesterday the crew initiated the Junior Watch Officer phase of the trip, where the students assume the responsibility of running watch. You can follow their adventures in the Captain's Log. Basketball battles The boys' varsity basketball team faces off against Thayer today here on the Hilltop at 4 p.m. The team is hot off three wins, recently defeating Groton, Beaver Country Day School, and Pingree. Photographer Louis Walker III has photos available from the Jan. 8 game against Beaver Country Day, which can be viewed and purchased here. • Both the boys' and girls' basketball teams won't just be engaging their opponents at their Jan. 25 games, but the entire community as both will be hosting a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer program. And remember, a live-stream of both of those games will be available on our web site. Promoting a healthy community It's flu season, but the SG Health Center is helping us through! All families should have received a letter from Director of Health Services June Bjerregaard earlier today. News from our classrooms The Chapel Choir, Snapdragons, and Hilltoppers got a chance to harmonize with Music Director Kate Longo on Monday during a group sing-along of Queen's "Somebody To Love!"
