Collaborating on curriculum The Academic Council continued their work this week with Leadership+Design, a California-based group that facilitates brainstorming and planning sessions for forward-thinking educators. This week's theme was "creative collaboration," a topic of the 2018-2019 Curriculum Task Force report. Teachers began to prototype curriculum ideas centered on the task force's recommendations related to the school's mission, our growing number of interdisciplinary offerings, and our commitment to service. The yearlong partnership with Leadership+Design looks to capitalize on the firm's unique approach to professional development in the hopes of transforming opportunity into action, demonstrating that SG's curriculum could be used as a benchmark for independent schools for years to come.
