Coach Tim Anderson grew up as an age group swimmer in Newport County Rhode Island for the Newport County YMCA as well as his high school, Middletown High School, where he was 4 year varsity swimmer, earning All Division as well as All State recognition. He attended University of New Haven to study music and sound production, still a passion of his, but soon found himself coaching right after college for both teams he grew up swimming for and never looked back. In his time as a coach, he has had the privilege of working under some of the top coaching professionals in the industry including David Marsh. While at SwimMAC Carolina in Charlotte, NC, he was part of the coaching staff for numerous NCS Age Group Championship 1st place titles as well as NCS Zones teams including open water. Upon moving back up to New England Swimming, he has coached numerous outstanding athletes to Top 10 in New England Swimming while at the South Shore YMCA as well coaching an athlete at the U.S Open in Atlanta and multiple YMCA Nationals qualifiers. Coach Tim continued his successes as Head Coach of Weymouth Club Waves in Weymouth, MA with multiple top 10 swimmers at 10-Under Champs, Top 10 finalists at NES Senior Championships, 7 USA Swimming Sectionals qualifiers including a second place finalist and multiple finalists at USA Swimming Futures Championships in Geneva, OH as well as multiple team records. One of Coach Tim’s favorite aspect of coaching is seeing his athletes accept into college including Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Wilmington, University of South Carolina, William and Mary, CalTech, Niagara University, and Swarthmore.
