Girls’ Varsity Ice Hockey Coach Information
Coach Bob Kenneally is director of the girls’ ice hockey program and head coach of the girls’ varsity hockey team. Prior to joining St. George’s full time in 2019, Bob served in various positions in the Brown University Athletic Department for 27 years, including as the head coach of the Bears’ women's hockey program from 2015-2018 and as head coach/Director of Golf Operations of the men's and women's golf program from 1998-2002.
At Brown, Kenneally was also the sport supervisor for football, baseball, women's basketball, gymnastics, men's ice hockey, and men's soccer, and oversaw the Budget and Finance Office, as well as Athletic Communications, Marketing and Promotions. He also oversaw student-athlete academic support services and eligibility, served as University Academic Advisor, and worked on the Brown admissions board in the recruitment of student-athletes.
A 1990 graduate of Brown, Kenneally played for four years on the Bears’ men’s hockey team as a forward, leading the team in scoring in 1987-88. As a senior, Kenneally received the Charles A. Lanigan Memorial Trophy, given to the senior hockey player who shows the most improvement, leadership and dedication during his varsity career. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Brown and is a graduate of the Kent School in Connecticut.
At St. George’s, Coach Kenneally is also an administrator in the athletic office, teaches math, and coaches golf.
Assistant CoachKim Tiberi is a biology teacher in the STEM Department, an assistant coach for the varsity ice hockey and varsity softball teams as well as an advisor and a dorm parent. Prior to St. George's, Tiberi earned her bachelor's degree in health science with minors in biology and coaching from Norwich University. After four years of varsity ice hockey at Norwich, Tiberi followed her collegiate career by playing in the NWHL for the Connecticut Whale and also played in the PWHPA. She served as the assistant coach at Suffolk University for the inaugural season of the varsity women's hockey program. Following this, Tiberi worked at Tilton School as a teacher, coach, advisor and dorm parent.
Volunteer Assistant CoachSarah graduated from Providence College in 2000 and was a member USA Women’s National Team from 1997-2003 and in 1998 was on the USA Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Gold Medal Team. In 2002 Sarah was named the USA Hockey Women’s Player of the Year before being inducted into the RI Heritage Hall of Fame in 2004. From 2004-07, Sara was the Nobles and Greenough Volunteer Goalie Coach and then continued on to be the Goal Coach at Harvard University from 2004-07. In 2018, Sara was inducted into RI Hockey Hall Of Fame and has been working running her own girls hockey organization since 2013.
