Coach Lang arrived at St. George's in 2014 with nearly 15 years of coaching experience. A graduate of Middlesex School in 1999, Coach competed in the ISL at the varsity level for three seasons, after arriving as a re-classed sophomore, in football, basketball, and tennis, winning two All-League awards playing at the No. 1 singles and doubles spots. After high school, Coach attended the University of Connecticut, where he was a four-year letter winner and a team Captain his senior year. He achieved a career-high doubles ranking of No. 57 in the country in the winter/spring of 2002. In 2003, Coach Lang stayed on board as a member of the UCONN coaching staff, in the role of Assistant Coach to the Men’s Program, while completing his studies. After college, he worked as a Coach and Group Leader at The Hopman Academy, Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, FL. and the Junior High-Performance Program Director at the Merion Cricket Club in Bryn Mawr, PA. Over nine seasons as Head Coach at SG, Coach Lang has had multiple 10-win seasons, coached the 2016 ISL MVP (Harry Shephard, who went on to attend Emory University and then Washington and Lee) and has made an impact on the local community by Vice-Chairing (Advisory Board) the local NJTL outlet, TeamFAME, out of the prestigious Tennis Hall of Fame, of Newport, RI.
