Kelly Richards is the Director of College Counseling at St. George’s. Since 1997, she’s held several positions during her time at SG, including assistant dean of students, head varsity field hockey coach, and head varsity lacrosse coach. Richards holds a bachelor’s degree in English and in government from the College of William and Mary, and a master’s in education degree from Harvard University. She has chaired the Advanced Secondary School College Counseling Summer Institute at Wheaton College and at Yale University, has served as the chairperson for the Rising Leaders Colloquium at UMaine Farmington, and has served as an assembly delegate to the National Association for College Admission Counseling. In 2011, Richards earned Professional of the Year from the New England Association for College Admission Counseling. She also served as the Colloquium Chair for the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools and currently sits on the University of Pennsylvania’s Counselor Advisory Board. Richards teaches in the English department, coaches lacrosse, and serves as a dean on duty and as an advisor.
