Boys’ Varsity Soccer Coach Information
Edward McGinnis joined the St. George’s faculty in 2002 after retiring from 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He has worked in the Technology Department, the Dean of Students Office and is currently the Director of Student Activities and the Day Student Advisor. McGinnis has taught both math and computer science courses. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in computer resources and information technology from Webster University. McGinnis is the head of Eccles Dorm and coaches varsity boys’ soccer and baseball. At Penn, he was a two-sport varsity athlete, a captain and Ivy League Champion with 1980 men’s varsity soccer team.
Ray Woishek is a teacher in the Visual and Performing Arts Department, varsity boys soccer coach, advisor, and dorm parent. Through drawing, printmaking, and digital media, Woishek most enjoys helping students master the techniques and mindset that allow them to successfully incorporate the design process in and outside of the art classroom. His love of athletics, particularly soccer, makes him a passionate and dedicated coach. Woishek has also served several years on the school’s Honor Board. Woishek holds a bachelor’s degree in studio art from Connecticut College, where he was a four-year varsity hockey player, and a master’s degree in design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland.
