Coaches

  • Head Coach

Roy Williams has been at SG since 1990. Educated in the U.K., he has a civil engineering degree from the University of Manchester and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Crewe and Alsager College. He teaches math and is the head coach for the varsity sailing program in the spring. One of only a handful of U.S. Sailing Level 3 coaches, Roy has served as a vice president of High School Sailing.

  • Ben Greenfield teaches physics and math at St. George’s where he aims to inspire his students with hands-on experience through experimentation. His teachings stress the importance of approaching the material through its real-world application. Prior to his work at St. George’s, he completed his student teaching at Boston Latin School and taught at Rocky Hill School. In addition, he works with the fitness and sailing programs at St. George’s. Aside from his teaching, he is an accomplished competitive sailor at the international level and an avid skier. Greenfield received his bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a concentration in physics from Boston University.
