Coaches

  • Head Coach
Joe Lang is the Director of the Horton Center for Learning and holds the Beth Horton Teaching Chair in Instructional Services. In these roles, his responsibilities include heading the Instructional Services department, which allows students, parents and advisors the opportunity to schedule one-on-one meeting times to help individual students achieve self-sufficiency through Executive Function skill-building, specific study skill-building, anticipation, communication, and self-assessment. In the Horton Center for Learning, Joe, along with colleague Sarah Mason, is tasked with creating and implementing student support programs meant to reach the entire Student Community, from third-formers to sixth-formers. Detailed information can be found on the school website, under "Academics." Joe holds a B.A in History from the University of Connecticut, coaches Varsity Football and Varsity Boys' Tennis at St. Georges and lives in Arden Dorm with his wife, SG French Teacher Julie Lang and young son, Louie.
