The Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1995 during the Centennial to honor alumni, coaches, teams, and friends who have made significant contributions to the athletic program at St. George’s School.

Mary Leys ’20

Not only is this Dragon a positive and effective Captain, she has been finding the back of the net day in and day out. She scored a hat trick last Saturday, another hat trick on Monday, and added one more goal against Tabor on Wednesday. This makes for 7 goals in the last three games. which have added to the 17 she has scored for St. George’s this season, with Middlesex to come.

Lekha Sapers - Student at St. George's School - a private New England coed boarding school

When the Dragons were in quite a predicament with not one, but both goalies unable to play in a home game vs. Worcester Academy this week, this JV hockey goalie stepped up to the plate to do what was best for the program. Out of her comfort zone, but confident thanks to the support of her teammates, Lekha worked hard and stayed focused throughout the game. The players and coaches were thankful and proud.

Mia Gardner ’20

Having played in goal for her entire hockey career, this Senior Dragon was asked to play forward this season. This is no easy task. Her willingness to take on the challenge for the good of the team paid off during the 2019 Skip and Dolly Howard Hockey Tournament. After 48 minutes of regular time and five minutes of OT, the final game went into a shootout where this goaltender turned skater scored the winning goal, which cemented the Championship for the Dragons.

Fritz Nottebohm ’22

In last Saturday's victory over league rival Rivers, From his tackle position, Fritz helped lead an offensive line effort that saw the Dragons accumulate 440 total yards (270 on the ground) and 28 points. He was equally effective on defense, where SG shutout Rivers for the first three quarters, with Fritz playing a huge part at defensive end, making 5 tackles, including a QB sack and a blocked punt that led to an SG score. Fritz has improved each week and his steady play is a good sign of things to come.

Donovan Frias ’23

Donovan, a third-former was instrumental in the JV Boys first victory of the season. In his first ever game as a Dragon, he was a shutdown defender, repeatedly disrupting Dexter’s offensive opportunities and he consistently initiated SG’s transition into the attack. He played with intensity, sportsmanship, and SG pride, and he even assisted on one of SG's six goals.

Liam Rhatigan ’20

This senior captain is a hard working, lead by example striker for the Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team. Fast, strong, determined Liam Rhatigan has scored in each of our three games this season. He scored the winning goal against Marianapolis, tallied a hat trick against Dexter and solidified the win against St. Andrew's with our third goal in a tight game that the boys broke open in the second half for a 4-1 victory.
