We believe students should have the power to present themselves in a way that accurately speaks to their ability and potential. St. George’s recognizes that standardized test scores may not fully reflect your academic journey. We will focus on your transcripts, essays, teacher recommendations and extracurricular talents for a more holistic evaluation. Championing test-optional practices will allow us to assess applicants’ strengths while promoting equity.
Exceptions to note:
To accurately assess your academic history, we will continue to require SSAT results from students who receive written evaluations in place of traditional grades or attend home school.
Applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate their proficiency in English by submitting either the TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo results.
Register for the SSAT, the ISEE or the TOEFL. Tests are administered in the fall and winter of each year.
Candidates have the option to submit ISEE scores in place of SSAT scores. They should be submitted to email@example.com.
International Students must submit one of the following:
TOEFL Visit Website • The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). TOEFL code 3533 • The TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition test.
• We require that students applying achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 90.
IELTS Visit Website • The International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
• We require that students applying achieve a minimum IELTS score of 7.0.
Duolingo Visit Website • The Duolingo English Test.
• We require that students applying achieve a minimum Duolingo score of 115.
Ready? Start the application now! You can come back any time and pick up where you left off. St. George’s accepts the SSAT Standard Application Online (SAO).
We believe that the journey matters, character and personal growth are an integral part of the St. George's experience. The Character Skills Snapshot is not a required component of the application, but we strongly recommend it. Grades and test scores don’t tell us the whole story and this new online assessment tool helps provide us with additional insight while learning about our applicants.
