Language and Culture Studies

Languages come alive in courses that are centered on communication, proficiency, and finding connections with and among the people, history, countries, and cultures of the world. Our classrooms are active, collaborative spaces where students dive into the roots of their language of study and apply those skills to better understand global and local communities, literature, film, and events happening in the world today.

We strive to cultivate both an appreciation for language and the willingness to apply their learning as a tool to seek common ground, build relationships, and to navigate the world around them long after they graduate.
