Camp Ramleh Benifit Yard Sale
6/15/2013
8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
The 10th Annual Camp Ramleh Benefit Yard Sale will take place at St. George's School's Cabot/Harman Ice Center (372 Purgatory Road, Middletown, RI) on Saturday, June 15, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

The giant yard sale is stocked in large part with students' former housewares, school supplies, sporting goods, furniture, clothing and electronics.

Proceeds will benefit Camp Ramleh, a summer camp run by student volunteers for underprivileged children from Aquidneck Island, as well as local agencies including Lucy's Hearth, the Potter League, Martin Luther King Center, Child and Family Services, Women's Resource Center, RIDEP, and the McKinney Shelter.

In past years items have included floor and table lamps, small appliances, bookcases, coffee tables, couches, pillows, towels, coats, sheets, blankets, comforters, curtains, jewelry, sports jackets, skis, boogie boards, backpacks, suitcases, bicycles, office chairs, rugs, and boys' and girls' clothing.

Lessons and Carols
12/13/2013
7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
A candlelight Christmas Service of Nine Lessons & Carols will take place in the majestic St. George’s Chapel. The readings are done by students and members of the faculty and community. The St. George’s Chapel Choir leads the carols and performs anthems of the season.

The performance is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early.

Christmas Festival
12/17/2013
7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
The 102nd Annual Medieval Christmas Festival will take place in the Chapel. This service traces it origins back to Roman times when the December celebrations of Saturnalia would provide a welcome respite from the rigors of winter. This is a ceremony that heralds the Incarnation with Christmas hymns and a procession of Mary and Joseph with the Baby Jesus, shepherds, kings and angels. The service has remained nearly the same at St. George’s throughout its 102-year history.

It is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early.
