About the Library
The Nathaniel P. Hill Memorial Library houses approximately 27,000 volumes, which includes nonfiction and fiction collections, 1,500 reference titles and an audiovisual collection. The library also subscribes to a number of electronic databases and e-books including Jstor, Biography Resource Center, and ProQuest Historical Newspapers. The library is a member of the Ocean State Libraries consortium, Nelinet, and the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC).  Librarians teach information literacy classes and provide reference services for the community. Additional information about the library can be found at: http://stgeorges.libguides.com/sghome.

The Gilbert Y. Taverner Archives at St. George's School is named for the former associate chaplain (1981-1988) who wrote "St. George's School A History: 1896-1986."  The archives serve as the collective memory of the school and promotes understanding of the school's history.  Its purpose is to collect, assess, conserve, preserve, catalog and make available materials of permanent historical value.  The Gilbert Y. Taverner Archives facility is located on the lower level of the library. Materials housed in it include records, papers, photographs, prints, artwork, ephemera, school publications, scrapbooks and artifacts.  The archives are open to the St. George's community and researchers.
