The Rev. Jackie Kirby joined St. George’s as the associate chaplain in 2014. She holds a bachelor’s degree in literature from Yale University, a master’ degree of divinity from Yale Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in comparative literature from New York University. Kirby has more than 13 years of teaching experience and specializes in world religions and interfaith dialogue. Prior to discerning a call to ordained priesthood, Kirby was the associate director of the writing program at Boston University, where she taught expository writing and research. She is the co-founder of a charter school in Massachusetts and a summer program for high school students at BU. Kirby teaches courses titled World Religions, Scripture, Good and Evil, and Faith and Doubt.
