Catherine Rodero Scholhamer
Catherine Rodero Scholhamer is the modern language department head and the Joan and Craig M. Watjen ’54 Technology Chair. She also teaches Spanish, is the head of a girls’ dormitory, is an advisor and works with students during the afternoons on student-designed, faculty-sponsored activity projects. Rodero Scholhamer has taught a variety of Spanish courses at St. George’s, most recently teaching levels two, three, four and six at the non-honors, honors and advanced levels. While her academic focus has been Hispanic literature, her interest in and passion for all aspects of Hispanic history and culture are evident in each of her classes. Having lived and studied in Madrid, Spain, Rodero Scholhamer holds a special place in her heart for the country. Rodero Scholhamer holds both a bachelor’s degree in international studies and a master’s degree in Spanish from Middlebury College.
