Edward McGinnis joined the faculty of St. George’s in August of 2002 after retiring from the U.S. Navy and works as an assistant dean of students. McGinnis worked in the technology department for many years, but now enjoys the closer contact with students that the dean of students office fosters. He lives with his family in Eccles dorm where he is the dorm head and he coaches varsity boys’ soccer and baseball. McGinnis has taught several different computer science courses over the years and currently teaches two courses: robotics and human and computers. McGinnis holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in computer resources and information technology and from Webster University.
