This is W.I.S.E. Weekend. Wellness Is Student Education, inaugurated by former Student Services Coordinator Carol Hamblet, focuses the SG community on the important balance between physical and emotional wellness. This evening we welcome speaker John Morello to the Hilltop to perform his one-man play “DIRT” about the issues of substance abuse and choices. The community then heads to the hockey rink to cheer on our Varsity Dragons against the Chancellors of St. Thomas More School. Seminars on topics ranging from Tae Kwon Do to melanoma to stress and CPR training are slated for Saturday. The school community is invited to watch Super Bowl XLVI on the big screen in the Campus Center Great Room Sunday evening.

Regards --- Bill

P.S. Speaking of big screens, do you remember the 1994 movie “The River Wild” starring Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon? The action adventure film was written by Denis O’Neill and is a fast-paced tale about a whitewater rafting trip hijacked by two criminals. Did you know Denis graduated from St. George’s in 1966?
