Today we saw dolphins for the first time. They were adorable especially when they were riding the bow wake. The first person to see a dolphin was John. It was during our watch while he was at the helm Every time I went below he would see one, and I would miss it. It got to the point that everyone had seen one but me, when finally a family of eight dolphins showed up, and I finally was able to see one. Allie got a lot of pictures. Mr. R. and I also saw a whale.

It is much warmer now that we are in Charleston. The most noticeable difference is that we can wear shorts at night and still not be cold. At the beginning of the trip I wore at least three layers including foul weather gear. This was especially important during the long night watches. We have been sailing for the past four days without stopping which has made for some interesting sleeping patterns. The next few days will be nice because we will most likely get a full eight hours of sleep. Uninterrupted eight hours of sleep are rare. Even though it is already warm, we are all looking forward to getting toThe Bahamas soon.
